EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AWARDS 2022
Hasta el jueves, 28 de abril de 2022 a las 23:59
OBJECT
The European Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals and projects for their innovation and efforts in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies.
AIMED AT
Anyone in the EU or the European Economic Area can submit a recent project or activity, from a local initiative to an industry-wide programme, or a profile of an individual who is helping citizens, industry and the public sector work towards achieving the goals of the European Green Deal.
AWARDS
The prizes are awarded in four categories:
The Innovation Award recognises outstanding ongoing or recently completed EU-funded projects that show an original and innovative path towards the clean energy transition.
The Local Energy Action Award recognises an implemented sustainable energy action, driven by a group of citizens or consumers (associated with a municipality or other stakeholders), that contributes to the clean energy transition at community or local level. It also inspires and motivates others to implement similar steps for an EU-wide deployment, resulting in economic and environmental benefits.
The EUSEW Woman in Energy Award recognises women leading outstanding activities that, if replicated, help advance the clean energy transition in Europe. Special attention is given to efforts to advance the gender mainstreaming agenda and support equality and equal opportunities in the energy sector.
The EUSEW Young Energy Trailblazer Award recognises young people (under 35 years old) who carry out outstanding activities that promote the clean energy transition in Europe and inspire ambitious climate and energy action.
Finalists are chosen by a high-level jury from a shortlist of the year's most impactful projects and actions for clean, safe and efficient energy, and the winners are decided by a public online vote (from August). A film crew will visit the sites of the finalists' activities and interview key actors to feature them in EUSEW communications.
The three finalists in each award category are invited to the award ceremony on 26 September 2022 in Brussels in the presence of the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The call for entries is open from until Thursday 28 April (23:59 CET) to receive submissions.
