Hasta el martes, 31 de enero de 2023 a las 19:00
Today the Commission opened the nominations for the New European Bauhaus Awards of 2023. Following the success of the last two editions, which received more than 3,000 applications from all EU Member States, the 2023 competition will reward fifteen exemplary initiatives linking sustainability, aesthetics and inclusiveness, the three core values of the New European Bauhaus.
On the occasion of the European Year of Skills, this year’s edition will have a section on education and learning. For the first time, we will also accept candidatures for projects and ideas from the Western Balkans. As last year, specific prizes will be awarded to people under the age of 30.
AIMED AT
Existing projects, in addition to ideas from young talent.
Applications from all nationalities and backgrounds will be taken into account if the implementation of their ideas and projects is in the EU or the Western Balkans.
CATEGORIES
The 2023 awards will award existing projects, in addition to ideas from young talent in four categories:
- reconnection with nature,
- recovery of the feeling of belonging,
- priority given to the places and people who need it most,
- the need for long-term life cycle analysis in industrial ecosystems.
In each category, candidates can choose from three parallel contest sections:
- Paragraph A: “New European Bauhaus Champions”, for existing and completed projects with clear and positive results.
- Paragraph B: “Emerging Stars of the New European Bauhaus”, for ideas presented by young talents of thirty years or younger. Ideas can be found at different stages of development, from ideas with a clear plan to the prototype level.
- Paragraph C: “New European Bauhaus Education Champions” for initiatives focusing on education and learning. Both completed projects and initiatives with a minimum level of maturity are eligible.
AWARDS
There will be 15 prizes in total. The jury will select 12 winners (one winner for each category in each strand). Three winners will be selected through an open public voting (one winner per strand).
All winners will receive a monetary prize:
- EUR 30,000 for winners of the New European Bauhaus Champions (Strand A) and New European Bauhaus Education Champions (Strand C),
