New European Bauhaus Prizes 2022

OBJECT

To connect global challenges with local solutions to achieve our climate goals and support broader transformation on the ground.

AIMED AT

Both EU and non-EU citizens are eligible to apply, as long as their concept, idea or project is developed and/or physically located in the EU. Joint/partnership and consortium applications are also possible, with the same criteria as for EU-based projects.

Young people, under the age of 30 on 28 February 2022, can apply for both strands of the competition: the New European Bauhaus Awards and New European Bauhaus Rising Stars. Project promoters over 30 years old can apply for the New European Bauhaus Awards with projects completed within the last two years (older projects are not eligible).

CATEGORIES

• Reconnection with nature.
• Recovery of the sense of belonging.
• Priority to the places and people that need it most.
• Promoting integrated, long-term, life-cycle thinking in the industrial ecosystem.

AWARDS

In each of the categories there are two parallel competition lines:

• New European Bauhaus Awards, for existing completed projects.
  • Winners will receive EUR 30 000 and a communication package.
  • Finalists will receive EUR 20,000 and a communication package.
• New European Bauhaus Rising Stars, for ideas from young talents aged 30 and under.
  • Winners will receive EUR 15,000 and a communication package.
  • Finalists will receive EUR 10,000 and a communication package.

The deadline for applications is 28 February 2022 at 19:00 and is via the website.
