Do you have a start-up idea that could make a difference? The European Commission is looking for bold, creative young entrepreneurs to pitch ideas that tackle real challenges, from the green transition and digital transformation to social inclusion and economic resilience.
Three finalists will be invited to pitch live at the SME & Clusters Assembly 2026 in Dublin, Ireland, taking place from 2-4 November.
The winner is announced on stage and receives an exclusive invitation to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit 2027, one of Europe's premier platforms for innovators, investors and policymakers.
Whether you are a student, part of a university incubator or already embedded in a cluster ecosystem, if you have an idea worth sharing, this is your stage.
Selection Criteria
- Creativity: Is the idea new and inventive?
- Originality: Does it have the potential to capture public attention and address real-world issues?
- Communication: Is the idea presented clearly and persuasively?
Why Participate?
- Visibility among Europe's top policymakers, investors and entrepreneurs
- Networking, collaboration and connections across the European enterprise community
- High-profile workshops, panels and sessions at the SME & Clusters Assembly
- The winner receives an exclusive invitation to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit, one of Europe's premier platforms for innovators, investors and policymakers
Why Should You Apply?
The YSC is more than a challenge. It is a platform. Previous editions have connected young entrepreneurs with investors, partners and the wider European enterprise community. Whether you are just starting out, part of a university incubator, or already embedded in a cluster ecosystem, the YSC is your opportunity to take your idea to a European stage, and to be part of the conversation shaping Europe's economic future.
