The European Commission has launched seven calls for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme, with a total budget of €63.2 million, aimed at boosting the development and deployment of key digital technologies across Europe.
The calls focus on artificial intelligence, digital health, advanced digital skills and online safety, strengthening Europe’s digital transformation and competitiveness.
OBJECTIVES
The calls aim to:
- Accelerate the adoption of advanced digital technologies
- Enhance healthcare systems through AI
- Develop key digital skills across Europe
- Strengthen trust and safety in the digital environment
FUNDING
The budget is allocated across several key areas:
- €9 million for AI-powered medical image screening solutions
- €24 million for digital health services and systems (European Health Data Space)
- €12.5 million for advanced digital skills training
- €8.5 million for digital solutions supporting regulatory compliance
- €6 million for research on online information integrity
- €1 million for an EDIC Support Hub
- €1.8 million for programme dissemination and exploitation activities
