The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has successfully established 16 innovation hubs across Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe to address the region's innovation gap.
These new hubs, known as EIT Community Hubs, are an integral part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) and have been launched in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, and Portugal, covering their respective EU outermost regions.
The EIT Community Hubs serve as central gateways to Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem, supporting local innovators and entrepreneurs to scale their innovations and bring new products to market. These hubs represent all EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) under one roof, fostering collaboration among local businesses, educational authorities, and research organizations. They enhance regional competitiveness while contributing to Europe’s economic growth and innovation landscape.
