EU 2023 Agricultural Research Conference. This year's edition will provide participants with the opportunity to network with scientists, farmers, rural communities, industry, advisors, policy makers, citizens and NGO representatives. It will provide an overview of European research and innovation activities and their achievements in agriculture, forestry and rural development.

May 31st
- 12:00 Opening registration.
- 12:00 – 13:30 Welcome Coffee.
- 13:30 – 14:45 High-level opening: Research and innovation enabling sustainable transition in agriculture, forestry and rural areas.
- 14:45 – 16:00 Research and innovation and Sustainable Development Goals: Are we on track for 2030? What’s next?
- 16:00 – 16:30 Networking coffee and Poster session: Horizon Europe projects including from the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and EIP Operational Groups.
- 16:30 – 18:00 Research and innovation enabling farmers, foresters and rural communities to become more resilient, sustainable and climate smart.
- 18:00 – 19:30 Networking cocktail
June 1st
- 08:30 Welcome coffee.
- 09:15 – 10:00 Day 2 opening: Setting the scene for the breakout sessions.
- 10:00 – 12:00 1st round of parallel sessions: Research and innovation delivering for sustainable, climate-smart agricultural and forestry systems.
- 12:00 – 13:30 Networking lunch.
- 13:30 – 15:30 2nd round of parallel sessions : Research and innovation enabling a people-centred green and digital transition.
- 15:30 – 15:45 Coffee break.
- 15:45 – 17:30 Concluding plenaries.
- 17:30 End of conference.
DATE AND TIME: May 31 and June 1, 2023 at 13:30H.
MODALITY: face-to-face in Brussels, Belgium and with online sessions.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
The deadline for registration to the event is May 1, 2023 at 18H. Registration is done through the European Commission's Electronic Office.
On June 2, field visits will be organized to invite participants to share their views on how to shape the future EU agricultural research and innovation agenda. You should indicate that you wish to attend on the registration form.
