EU Award for Innovative Women 2020

The seventh edition of the EU Award for Innovative Women is open. Applications are open until Tuesday, April 21, 2020. If you think you have what it takes to become the next innovative woman in the EU, don't miss the opportunity and apply now.

Which is the prize?

It is a cash prize given every year to European women who founded a successful company and brought an innovation to the market. We award the award to four amazing women entrepreneurs who work to make the world a better place and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. The contest is open to women across the EU and countries associated with Horizon 2020. The finalists are selected by a high-level jury of independent experts from across Europe, including companies, venture capital, entrepreneurship and academia.

The EU award for innovative women celebrates our inspiring innovation leaders. The award recognizes the role of women in bringing innovative innovations to the market and honors the outstanding achievements of women entrepreneurs who run innovative companies. The award also seeks to raise awareness about the need for more women entrepreneurs and create role models for women and girls.

AWARDS:

3 prizes of 100,000 euros each.

Rising Innovator (35 years or less): 50,000 euros.

The award also recognizes several finalists especially recognized for their outstanding career as women entrepreneurs and innovators.

Who can apply?

The contest is open to women across the EU and countries associated with Horizon 2020, who have founded or co-founded a successful company and brought innovation to the market

Award Criteria

• Innovative innovation: the company founded or co-founded by the contestant provides a truly innovative product or service
• impact: the product or service addresses a specific social need or challenge, with significant benefits for citizens and the economy
• inspiration: the contestant has demonstrated active leadership, has played a fundamental role in the company's success and inspired others
  Applications are evaluated by a panel of independent experts from all over Europe.
