What is the Parallel18 Program?
Parallel18 is an economic development initiative that attracts early stage, high-impact startups that can scale from Puerto Rico to global communities, beyond the island, including Mainland US, Latin America, and Europe. The goal of the program is to position Puerto Rico’s as a unique gateway to scale globally. We have the support of the Puerto Rico Science and Technology Trust, the Department of Economic Development and Commerce and the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company.

But the economy has evolved and the Island has what it takes to become a powerful platform for startups. Parallel18 harnesses those advantages that attracts big companies, to help startups scale globally.
What we offer Equity free funding
Equity free funding (US $40K) to help your company grow and get to the next level. Alumni may also qualify for a Follow-on fund from Puerto Rico Science Trust that matches capital raised (up to US $75K).

Co-working space in a vibrant urban environment with super-fast internet and a few blocks from the beach. The neighborhood offers affordable housing, restaurants and easy access to public transportation.

Soft-landing
Facilitated soft-landing under U.S. legal system. We work with a team of professionals experienced in bilingual and multicultural companies that can guide you through the process of setting up in the U.S.
